Many believe that the goal of one’s career should be to pursue a passion while others feel it is merely a way to earn a livelihood. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

Firstly, let's discuss the argument for pursuing passion as the goal of one's career. Supporters of this view believe that working towards a passion can lead to a fulfilling and satisfying career. When a person is passionate about their work, they are more likely to be motivated and engaged in their job, which can lead to better performance and increased job satisfaction. Additionally, following a passion can lead to personal growth and a sense of purpose, which can positively impact other areas of life as well.

On the other hand, there are those who argue that a career should simply be a way to earn a livelihood. They believe that pursuing a passion may not always be practical or financially viable. It is important to earn a steady income and provide for oneself and one's family, and pursuing a passion may not always guarantee financial stability. Furthermore, it is argued that pursuing a passion can lead to burnout and job dissatisfaction, especially if the person is unable to turn their passion into a successful career.

In my opinion, both sides have valid points. Pursuing a passion can be a great source of motivation and personal fulfillment, but it is important to also consider practicality and financial stability. It is possible to find a balance between the two, where one can pursue a passion while also making sure that their career provides a steady income and financial security.

CONCLUSION: In conclusion, the topic of whether the goal of one's career should be to pursue a passion or to simply earn a livelihood is a complex issue with arguments on both sides. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide what is best for them based on their personal circumstances and goals.
